Fran Moynihan

Fran’s love of wine was born in Margaret River, Western Australia. Fresh out of her studies at university she moved to Perth and spent a great deal of time on the South West coast enjoying some of the best artisan wines Australia has to offer. Since then, her wine adventures have taken her to all corners of the globe, where she has loved meeting producers and discovering how their wonderfully distinct terroirs influence what we taste in the glass.

In a previous life, she worked for a high-end property firm in Central London as a buyer’s agent, but began her wine studies alongside this at West London Wine School. Having taken her WSET Levels 2 and 3 there, she went on to complete her French, Italian and Spanish Wine Scholar qualifications, before finally taking the plunge and sitting her Diploma.

Fran enjoys nothing more than sharing her love and knowledge of wine with others – both as a tutor at the school and when hosting private tastings. She is also particularly interested in the many ways producers are combatting the effects of climate change in a challenging growing environment and the steps they are taking to become more sustainable.
